VJOBS
is a non-profit organization providing job placement opportunities
for disadvantaged youth and adults. PVJOBS cooperates
with local job-skills training programs and other community
based organizations to bring the disadvantaged individual
into the
workplace.
This
cooperation provides support resources in
necessary
areas to insure the
greatest
opportunity
for their success. PVJOBS candidates are expected to
take personal responsibility
for
their lives and future, and as such, are expected to
make use of these resources as necessary.
The
developers of Playa
Vista are committed to making 10% of all construction
labor performed in the building of Playa
Vista available
to at-risk individuals in the
local and surrounding communities
referred by PVJOBS. All contractors and builders at Playa
Vista are required to meet this 10% minimum quota.
