Vision
(Last updated January 3, 2005)

PVJOBS seeks to educate state and local governmental agencies, real estate developers, public and private sector companies and construction trade unions concerning the long-term social value of the cooperative effort to identify and place multi-barriered, at-risk youth and adults in career-track jobs that pay a living wage.

By uniting these forces through a regional network of partnered community-based organizations, PVJOBS seeks to intervene and turn the tides of chronic substance abuse, crime, illiteracy, lack of access to quality health care, poor self-esteem and poverty. PVJOBS places those at highest risk of not realizing success and fulfillment in life into career-track jobs.

PVJOBS strives to serve as a national model for others, who wish to unite the forces of government, private enterprise and organized labor to heal the wounds of the at-risk in our society.
