PVJOBS participates in United Way Homewalk 2010

HomeWalk is United Way of Greater Los Angeles’ annual walk to end homelessness. Each year thousands join together to do their part by fundraising and spreading the word because homelessness is a solvable problem.

All money raised through HomeWalk is distributed back into the community to help quickly rehouse homeless families and provide permanent housing to the chronically homeless. Over the past 3 years, HomeWalk has mobilized 13,000 walkers, raised $1.3 million and moved 6,000 people into permanent housing. YOU can help end homelessness.

PVJOBS only accepts clients referred by our collaborating agencies

Those referred clients may then attend one of our orientations, held at 10 a.m. each Thursday.

More than 80 collaborating, community organizations provide life skills training to at-risk individuals and refer them to PVJOBS for employment assistance. PVJOBS only accepts clients referred by our collaborating agencies. Find one in your area from those listed on the back of this brochure [English, PDF: 3.28MB] [Spanish, PDF: 3.25MB] and call them. Some agencies have a process to obtain a referral application. Please make sure to follow their procedures. Once the procedure is followed and referral application is obtained, you will  be able to attend a PVJOBS orientation. Referrals are maintained in a database and as employment opportunities become available, PVJOBS queries the database and makes referrals to employers.
