Construction Primer is an entry-level pre-apprenticeship training course that gauges an individual’s interest in the construction industry while offering workshops in various life skills. Activities include classroom instruction, hands-on construction sessions, and more.

Construction Primer’s 40-hour training course is primarily intended for entry-level workers. This training ensures participants learn how to navigate common job site hazards so they feel safe at work. Upon completion, participants will earn an OSHA 10 card and valuable hands-on training skills.

Participants also will explore skills in construction math, work-readiness and hands-on carpentry training. Additional workshops include anger management, resume building and financial literacy.
