PVJOBS

POPULATION .

Participating in a PVJOBS program is the gateway into a thriving career. To enroll in a PVJOBS program, individuals must meet program eligibility requirements. PVJOBS operates county, state and federally funded programs addressing the need for violence intervention and prevention as well as re-entry services.

Through our Jobs Coordinator Services contracts, PVJOBS provides employment opportunities for various populations. Applicants must meet at least one of the following employment barriers during the time of enrollment:

  • Did not complete high school

  • History of substance abuse

  • Household income below 50% of the median

  • Homelessness

  • Welfare recipient

  • History of involvement in the justice system

  • Chronic unemployment

  • Unemployed single parent

 
Once enrolled, job applicants are added to a database so they can be notified about qualifying program services, job training and employment opportunities.

The PVJOBS office is located at 4112 South Main Street in South Los Angeles, on the northeast corner of 41st Place and Main Street. From the Harbor/Pasadena I-110 Freeway, exit Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and turn east, travel less than 1/2 mile to Main Street, turn right. PVJOBS will be on your left at 41st Place.
