PVJOBS offers a Tech Math course for individuals with strong math skills, a good work ethic and a desire to pursue a career as a union electrician. Candidates must be age 18 or older, possess a high school diploma, GED or HSPE, and be able to commit to completing a 40-hour technical math class.

Those who successfully complete this class will receive preparatory training and a certificate of completion that will satisfy the algebra requirement to apply for a mechanical, electrical or plumbing apprenticeship program. Wages for this occupation range from approximately $15.00 per hour for beginning apprentices to more than $40.00 per hour for experienced journey-level workers. Union electricians also receive an excellent family benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision care as well as generous vacation and retirement plans.

The Tech Math classes meet from 9 am to 2 pm for eight consecutive Saturdays. The cost of the class is $1,770 – or FREE to those who qualify.
