Meet K-Boy: A Decade in the Making

K-Boy started making music professionally at 18, teaming up with Glasses Malone on the track Blu Division, which tied him to the legendary Black Wall Street movement. At the time, he was also part of a rap group called The Black Boys. As life took everyone in different directions, K-Boy stayed committed to the craft learning to write his own songs and find his voice as a solo artist. Ten years later, that dedication paid off. He’s worked with some of the West Coast’s most respected names, including Nipsey Hussle, Kendrick Lamar, Joe Moses, and Pleasure P. Today, K-Boy is a true example of what it means to evolve, stay consistent, and carve your own path in music.

Welcome to PVJOBS

Thanks to a friend already connected with PVJOBS, K-Boy was invited to be part of the podcast. After visiting the organization, he saw real potential in what PVJOBS was building. In December 2024, he organized a toy drive—something he had always wanted to do for his neighborhood. It was an instant success, drawing over 200 attendees and giving away more than 200 toys. The event featured performances by Ralfy the Plug and others, creating a memorable community moment. Now, with his experience, vision, and drive, K-Boy serves as the Creative Director of the Media Pathway Program at PVJOBS.

K-Boy’s Path of Progress

K-Boy has been an incredible asset to PVJOBS, creating unforgettable opportunities for the Media Pathway program. He led the group to meet Blacc Sam, who generously donated over $20,000 worth of Marathon Clothing, and gave students exclusive access to the legendary 1500 or Nothin studio—home to hits from Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Bruno Mars, and Nipsey Hussle. K-Boy also helped organize a trip to Arizona, where participants interviewed members of the Arizona Cardinals and filmed a music video, turning a learning experience into a truly inspiring journey.
